Shri H S Mahida Highschool

Started the school years ago here in Mogar. It’s right on the main stretch of Anand. The building has seen better days but it holds up well enough. Every morning the kids start trickling in from around the village. Some walk, some come on cycles. We’ve got the high school sections running and the noise gets pretty loud during the lunch break. Sometimes the dust from the road gets inside the front gates but we just sweep it out. It’s a busy place. Teachers stay late most days checking papers or just talking in the staff room about how the students are doing. We don’t have any fancy air conditioning or anything like that. Just old fans that hum all day. The walls are painted a pale color and have some charts pinned up by the students. It’s not a quiet place by any means. You can hear the traffic from the road and the kids laughing in the hallways. We try to keep things organized but with so many teenagers in one spot, it's always a bit chaotic. Mostly, it’s just about getting through the lessons and making sure everyone shows up on time. The playground is a bit dry in the summer months but that doesn't stop anyone from playing. It's just a regular school where people work hard. Nothing special to look at from the outside, but it's where everything happens for us every day in our little corner of Anand.
