Anand High School

Anand High School has been part of this town for as long as I can remember. The building is right in the middle of Anand, so it gets quite noisy during school hours with all the buses and rickshaws going by. We have a lot of students coming from the nearby areas. The classrooms have high ceilings and those old wooden desks that have seen better days. Every morning, the bell rings and the whole place just wakes up. It’s a lot of noise, kids running around, teachers trying to get to their classes on time. We don't really do anything flashy. It's just about getting the lessons done and making sure the exams go smoothly. In the afternoons, when the sun is high, the playground gets a bit quiet. We have some trees that provide shade, which is nice during the summer months. Sometimes the power goes out, but we just carry on with the windows open. The staff room is always full of tea cups and stacks of notebooks. We know most of the families around here because their kids have been coming to us for years. It feels like a small community inside these walls. We aren't trying to be the biggest school, just a place where kids can learn their subjects and grow up. It’s a busy life, but it’s what we know and we've been doing it for years.
