H K Restaurant

H K Restaurant is sitting right there at the Hotel H K Continental, which is basically at 41 Amritsar Bus Stand. If you know the area, we are quite close to Hussianpura Chowk, so there is always a lot of noise and people moving about. We’ve been here for a while now, just serving the people who come through the bus station. It isn't a quiet place because of the buses honking outside all day long, but we have some fans inside to keep things moving. Most days, people just walk in with their bags, looking tired after a long journey, and they want a quick seat and something to eat. We don't do anything too fancy, just the regular North Indian food that keeps you full. The tables are old but they work fine. Sometimes the floor gets a bit dusty from the street, but we try to sweep it when there’s a gap in the crowd. Our staff has been around for years and they know the regulars who work at the station. In the winter, the tea is the big thing everyone asks for. We just keep the kitchen going from morning until the late buses leave. It’s a busy life here, but we like seeing the different faces that pass through Amritsar every single day without fail.
