Ram Coir Mills

Down here at Ram Coir Mills in Sherthally, things stay pretty busy most of the time. We work with coir, which means there is usually a lot of dust and fiber in the air, but you get used to that after a week or two. Our spot is listed as P.B. No. 34, so the mailman knows where to drop our things off. It is a noisy place when the machines are running, but that is the sound of work getting finished. We have been in this part of Sherthally for a while now and most of the folks around here know us by sight. We are not a giant operation with hundreds of people in suits. It is just a few of us who know how to handle the material and get it ready. Some mornings we start early when the air is still a bit cool. By the afternoon, it gets hot under the roof, but we just keep at it until the day is done. We do not do much in the way of fancy talk or marketing. If you come by, you will see us in our work clothes, probably covered in a bit of brown fiber. That is just how the job is. It is steady work and it keeps us all going. We take care of the equipment and try to make sure everything runs without breaking down too often. We just focus on the pile of work in front of us.
