Extra Weave

Extra Weave. We are located right at Saktheeswaram Junction. If you know the area, you know how much activity there is around that crossing. It’s a bit of a hub, with people always coming and going. Our building is right there in the thick of it. We spend most of our time dealing with the weaving side of things, so there is always a bit of a hum in the air. The smell of the raw materials is something you get used to after a few days. We don’t have a fancy showroom with air conditioning and soft music. It’s more of a working environment. We have our looms and our storage areas, and we move things around as needed. The staff here mostly lives nearby, so we all know each other well. It’s not a corporate vibe at all. We wear comfortable clothes and work hard until the day is over. Sometimes the rain gets really heavy and hammers on the roof, making it hard to hear anything, but we just keep going. We have piles of finished goods waiting to be moved out and bags of thread coming in. It’s a cycle that doesn’t really stop. People around the junction know us as the place that’s always busy. We don’t do much advertising; our presence at the junction for all these years is usually enough. It’s honest work and we take it as it comes.
