Kera Kreations

Kera Kreations is located at Xi/159 in Komana. It’s more of a workshop than a factory. We take bits of coconut and turn them into things people can use, but it’s a slow process. There are only a few of us here, and we mostly work with our hands. The yard is usually full of shells and husks drying out in the sun. Komana is a quiet place, so we don't have much disturbance, which is nice when you’re trying to concentrate. Sometimes the local kids come by to see what we are making. We don't have any big corporate goals; we just like making things. The tools we use are pretty basic, and we spend a lot of time sharpening them. Our work area is a bit cluttered with half-finished projects and scraps of fiber, but we know where everything is. When the weather is good, we work with the doors wide open to catch the breeze. We don't really have a set schedule; we just start in the morning and stop when we are tired or when the light gets too low to see properly. It’s a humble setup, but it suits us just fine. We just take it one day at a time and see what we can finish by the end of the week.
