Koluthara Exports Limited

Down here in Alleppey, things move a little differently. Koluthara Exports is located on Keltron Road, and it’s a pretty green area, though it gets very wet when the rains start. Our building is an older one, and we’ve been using P.B. No. 7 for our mail for as long as I can remember. The work we do is all about getting goods ready for export, which involves a lot of sorting, packing, and checking. It’s a humid place to work, and we have the big ceiling fans going round and round all day long. The air always feels thick, especially during the monsoon season. We have a good group of local people working here, many who have been with the company for decades. We aren't interested in being some high-tech firm with glass walls. Our floors are concrete, and our desks are old wood. There’s always a bit of a scramble when a big shipment is due, with everyone pitching in to get the containers loaded. Keltron Road isn't too busy compared to the city, but we get our fair share of traffic from the trucks. When the work is done, you can hear the birds in the trees outside, which is a nice change from the noise of the packing machines. It’s a quiet, steady kind of business. We just try to keep things moving and stay on top of the paperwork that the export business requires. It’s just how we do things here.
