Cafe Coffee Day

Our little spot for Cafe Coffee Day is on Street No.39/40 in Zakir Nagar, Nd.110026. If you’ve ever been to Zakir Nagar, you know how narrow the streets can get and how much life is packed into every square inch. We’re right there in the thick of it. It’s not like those big fancy cafes you see in the malls. This one has a bit more character because of the neighborhood. We get a lot of students and locals who just want a place to sit for a minute and get away from the noise outside. The smell of coffee beans usually mixes with the smells from the food stalls on the street, which is actually quite nice. We have a few tables that wobble a bit if you lean on them wrong, and the lighting is a bit dim in the corners. Our staff mostly lives nearby, so we know a lot of the regulars by name. We don't have some big corporate philosophy we talk about; we just make the coffee and try to keep the place clean. The street outside is always buzzing with rickshaws and people walking to the market. Sometimes it’s so loud we have to shout to hear each other, but that’s just life in Delhi. It’s a simple place to get a drink and take a breather. We like being part of the Zakir Nagar community. The street outside is never really quiet, even late at night. We’ve got a small fan behind the counter that rattles.
