Mocha

We are up on the third floor here at 29/53 in West Patel Nagar. It is a bit of a climb if you are not used to stairs but we like it up here away from the direct noise of the main road. Mocha has been in this spot for a while now. Most days it is just us making coffee and making sure the tables are wiped down properly before the afternoon rush starts. The building is older and sometimes the electricity flickers when it gets really hot outside in Delhi. We have a few regulars who come in every single morning just for a quick drink before they go to work. It’s not a huge place but it works for what we need. Sometimes the milk delivery is late and we have to run down the street to the little shop on the corner to get a few cartons so we don’t run out. The view from the window is mostly just other rooftops and the metro line in the distance. We try to keep things simple. There’s a lot of dust because of the construction nearby so we are always cleaning the glass. It’s just a normal workplace really. Nothing too fancy or over the top. We spend most of our time just chatting with people or fixing the wifi when it decides to stop working for no reason at all. That happens more than we would like. Anyway, that is pretty much what goes on here every day.
