Our place is at A 37 in Mayapuri, Phase-2. If you’ve ever been to Mayapuri, you know it’s a lot of traffic and heavy trucks. We do beverages here. You can hear the bottles clinking against each other all day long. It’s a rhythmic sound, kind of soothing after a while. The floor is usually a bit wet from the washing and filling stations, so everyone wears rubber boots. It isn't a glamorous job but it's steady. We have these big tanks and pipes running everywhere. Most of the day is spent checking levels and making sure the caps are on tight. We don't have much of a lobby or anything like that. If you walk in, you’re pretty much standing right in the middle of the production line. It gets a bit humid in the summer with the steam and the heat from the machines. We keep the fans going as much as we can. The workers have been here for years, some of them since we first opened this unit. We take turns watching the conveyor belts. It’s important to stay focused so nothing breaks. When the shift ends, we all head out into the Mayapuri traffic. It’s a long day, but we get the job done. It’s a practical business, nothing fancy about it. We keep a spare set of uniforms in the back just in case someone gets soaked by a stray sprayer. It happens more often than you would think.
