Parivarthan School

Parivarthan School is located in Parekh Nagar, over in the Bijapur area. It is a fairly typical school for this part of Karnataka. The weather here can get really dry and hot, so we spend a lot of time trying to keep the rooms cool enough for the kids to focus. The building is a plain concrete structure with a few trees planted around the perimeter to give some shade. You will see the school buses parked out front in the mornings, bringing in kids from different parts of Bijapur Ho. Inside, it is all very functional. We have rows of desks, a small library room that is always a bit disorganized, and a main office where the principal sits. It is not a silent place; there is always the sound of children reciting lessons or playing during their lunch hour. We do not have a big staff, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything, whether it is fixing a broken door or organizing the sports day. The walls have some charts and drawings made by the students, which adds a bit of color to the place. It is a practical school meant for the local community. We are not trying to impress anyone with big words or shiny facilities. We just show up, open the gates, and make sure the students get through their curriculum every year. It is a lot of routine.
