Sri Raghav Stones

You can find our yard at number 75 on Arni Road in the Bagayam area. Sri Raghav Stones has been here for a while and we have become a regular part of the neighborhood. We mostly deal with raw stone and it is a very physical job that starts early every morning. My brother and I run the place and we don't really have any employees other than a few helpers when things get really busy. The yard is usually full of different types of stone and the sound of the cutting saws is something you can hear from the road. We don't have an office with a computer or anything like that. We just keep a notebook to track what we sell and who owes us money. It is a very straightforward way to live. Sometimes the weather is against us and we have to stop work when the rain gets too heavy, but otherwise, we are out there every day. We don't have any big goals of becoming a huge corporation. We just want to provide good material for the people building houses nearby. Most of our customers come from the local villages and they know we are fair with them. We take pride in the work we do with our hands. It is not always easy and the dust gets everywhere, but it is what we know how to do. Just a local stone yard on the side of the road that stays busy.
