Jk Granite

We are set up on Gudiyattam Road in Katpadi. It’s a good spot because a lot of people pass by on their way in and out of town. We deal mainly with granite. Our yard isn’t the biggest, but we keep it packed with different types of slabs. You can usually hear us before you see us because moving granite makes a lot of noise. We spend our time checking the edges and making sure the polish is right on the surfaces. Katpadi is a busy place, and there is always some construction happening nearby. We get a lot of locals who are building a new house or just updating a bathroom. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles. It’s just a yard with some stone and a small shack for keeping the paperwork dry. The weather affects us a lot; when it's hot, the stone gets warm to the touch, and when it rains, we have to be extra careful with the grip. We have a couple of guys who handle the heavy lifting. We don’t go in for fancy talk. If someone likes a piece of granite, we tell them the price and figure out how to get it to them. It’s an honest living on a busy road. We’ve been here long enough that people know where to find us when they need granite. We just keep the yard open and do our work.
