Jai Granites & Tiles

We’ve been here at 569 in Sathuvachary for a while now. Most days start early before the sun gets too hot. Jai Granites & Tiles isn't a fancy place, just a yard with plenty of slabs and boxes of tiles stacked up. If you walk through the rows, you’ll see all kinds of patterns. Some people come in knowing exactly what they want for their kitchen floors, while others just stare at the granite for an hour. We don’t mind. It’s a big decision. The tiles are mostly kept inside to keep the dust off them, but the granite sits outside. When it rains, the colors really pop on those stones. It’s just us here, moving things around with the trolley and making sure the orders are ready for pickup. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a bit of a hard time backing in because the road gets busy, but we make it work. We spend a lot of time cleaning the edges of the stone and checking for cracks. It’s heavy work, and our hands are usually pretty rough by the end of the day. There’s no big sales team or anything like that. You just walk in, look at what’s in stock, and we tell you what we have. Most people around Sathuvachary know where we are. It’s a simple business, really. Just stone and ceramics and a lot of heavy lifting every single day.
