Shri Chelliamman Granites

Shri Chelliamman Granites sits right on Mbt Road at 219/1A. We’re near the S L R Sanitorium, which is a landmark most people around here know. Working with stone is heavy business. Our yard is filled with slabs of different sizes and colors. It’s not a quiet place because of the cutting and moving of the granite. The dust is constant, so we’re always washing things down. We’ve been at this location for a while. The sun hits the yard pretty hard in the afternoon, so we try to get the heavy lifting done in the morning hours. It’s a practical setup we have. Not much to look at from the road, just a lot of stone and some basic machinery. The office is just a small room where we talk to people and handle the bills. We don’t go in for big marketing or anything. Word of mouth usually brings people to 219/1A. Mbt Road is always busy with traffic, which keeps us feeling connected to the town. We just focus on the granite and making sure the pieces are cut right. It’s a living. The crew here is small and we’ve worked together for a long time. We know how to handle the equipment and the stone without making a fuss about it. That's just how we do things at Shri Chelliamman Granites.
