Hari Ram & Sons Papad & Spices

Our place, Hari Ram & Sons Papad & Spices, is tucked away in Dariyabad. It’s at Plot No- 362/145, which is right near Jogighat and Maulvi Chirag Ali Road. If you know the area, you know it can get pretty crowded with people and scooters zig-zagging everywhere. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a long time now. It’s a family thing, so you’ll usually find a few of us around, arguing about where to stack the latest batch of papads or which bag of spices needs to go out first. The air in the shop is always a bit heavy with the smell of pepper and salt. During the monsoon, things get a bit tricky with the moisture, so we’re always checking the roof and making sure everything stays dry. It’s not a corporate office with air conditioning; it’s just a workspace with some old fans that hum too loud. We see the same faces every day, neighbors going to the mosque or people heading down toward the river. We don’t have a big marketing team or fancy brochures. Most of the time, we’re just sitting on stools, weighing things out and talking to whoever walks in. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back on. It’s a simple life, really. We just try to get the orders filled and keep the place running like it always has, without making a big fuss about anything.
