The Food Place

The Food Place is situated in Gilat Bazar, which is part of the Shivpur area in Varanasi. You can find us quite easily because we are near the Heiwel Hospital. We aren't a big fancy restaurant with a lot of decorations. We just have a kitchen and some space for people to sit down. We chose 221003 because it's where we live and we know the people here. Every morning we go to the market to get what we need for the day. It’s a simple routine that we’ve been doing for a while. We don't have a website or a big social media page. We just rely on people walking by in Shivpur. The hospital nearby means we get doctors and families stopping in at all hours. We try to keep the place quiet so people can actually enjoy their break. It's a lot of hard work, especially when it gets crowded in the evenings. We don't have a corporate team telling us what to do. We just cook what we know and try to keep the floors clean. Gilat Bazar is a lively place to be, and we are just one of the many small businesses making a go of it. If you are near the hospital and hungry, you’ll probably see our small sign. We are just a regular shop doing our best every day and serving whatever we made that morning.
