Kashi Cafe

Kashi Cafe is located on the Lanka Assi Road, right in the heart of the Lanka area in Varanasi. We are situated near the Ravidas Gate, which is a very busy landmark for anyone living in or visiting 221005. This part of the city is always full of people, students from the university, and travelers heading towards the ghats. Our cafe is just a small, simple place where you can sit down for a bit and escape the noise of the street. We don't have any of those expensive espresso machines or fancy interiors. It’s just a basic setup with some benches and tables. We serve tea, coffee, and some simple snacks that aren't too hard on the pocket. A lot of students come here to hang out between their classes because we are so close to the gate. It isn't a quiet library, though. There is usually a lot of chatter going on. The walls have some dust on them and the fans might be a bit loud, but it’s a real place. We aren't trying to be a modern coffee shop like the ones in the big malls. It is just a local spot where people can meet up. Sometimes we run out of things if it's been a busy morning, but we just get more from the market nearby. It’s a practical, everyday kind of place for the neighborhood. You might find a stray dog sitting near the entrance sometimes.
