Varanasi is a crowded place, especially around Bhram nal chowk. Our little spot, Raga Cafe, is tucked away at Ck-10/53. It’s right near Chowk Thana and very close to Manikarnika ghat. If you walk through the narrow lanes, you’ll find us. We don’t have a lot of space, but we make it work. The walls are old and the streets outside are always full of people and cows. It’s a bit chaotic, but that’s just how Varanasi is. We make tea and food and try to keep the place somewhat tidy. The 221001 area is famous for being busy, and we are right in the heart of it. We see all sorts of people coming through, from locals to travelers who look a bit lost. We don’t have a big menu or anything fancy. It’s just a simple cafe. Sometimes the power goes out and we just light some candles. We spend our days chatting with whoever sits down. It’s a slow life despite the noise outside. Being near the ghat means there is always a sense of something important happening nearby. We just stay here in the chowk, doing our thing. It’s a small family-run feel. We aren’t looking to be the biggest place in town, just a spot where someone can sit for a few minutes.
