Mechanical Steel Fabricators

Our workshop is situated at Plot No. 613 in the 100 Shed Area of Gidc, Vapi. It’s a crowded part of town where everyone is making something out of metal. We do a lot of welding and cutting here. The sparks are flying most of the day and we all wear heavy boots to stay safe. Steel is heavy and stubborn, so we spend a lot of energy moving beams and plates around the floor. We have some overhead cranes that help, but it’s still manual work. Vapi gets incredibly hot in the summer, and the shed traps that heat, so we drink a lot of water and keep the big fans blowing. We aren’t really into fancy talk; we just look at the drawings and start cutting. Most of our work is for bigger factories nearby that need frames or brackets made. Sometimes we have to work late to finish a big fabrication job, and we order food from the stall down the road. The guys here have been working with steel for a long time, so they know how it behaves. We don’t have a website or a big sign, just the plot number painted on the door. It’s a gritty job, but there is something good about seeing a pile of raw steel become a finished structure by the time we go home. It feels like honest work.
