Mahavir Steel House

Mahavir Steel House is easy to find if you look for the big water tank in the Shad Area. We are right there at Plot No. A2/27, 100, and there is almost always a stack of steel beams or sheets sitting out front in the yard. Moving metal around all day is loud and heavy work, so you’ll hear the clanging of pipes hitting each other from down the street. We don’t have much in the way of a showroom because the steel takes up all the available space. The walls are mostly just bare brick, and the floor is concrete that’s seen a lot of heavy loads over the years. We spend most of our time measuring lengths and helping people load up their trucks, which is harder than it looks when the sun is beating down on the metal. It’s the kind of place where you need thick gloves and boots that can handle a bit of a beating. We know the local builders and the guys doing home repairs who come in looking for a specific piece of angle iron or a certain gauge of sheet. The office is just a small room with a metal desk and a lot of old ledgers where we keep track of what’s coming in and going out. It’s a straightforward business without any of the extra polish you might find in a big city store. We just handle the steel and try to stay organized for our customers.
