All India Metal Corporation is situated at Shop No. 11 on Silvassa Road in Chanod. We are right across from Daman Ganga Steel, which is a big landmark around here. Our shop is where we handle all kinds of metal pieces and supplies. It is a busy stretch of road with lots of heavy vehicles passing by all the time. The shop itself is often filled with stacks of pipes, sheets, and rods. It can be a bit messy because metal isn't the cleanest thing to move around. We spend our days weighing things, cutting them to size, and loading them onto small tempos or trucks. It is a loud place because of the traffic and the metal clanging together. We have been in Chanod for quite some time and have seen the road get busier and busier. There is usually a layer of dust on everything, but that is part of the trade. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. People just come in, tell us what they need, and we pull it from the stacks. Sometimes we have to hunt for a specific gauge or size in the back. It is simple work, really. We just try to keep a good stock of what people usually ask for and make sure the scales are working right so everyone gets what they paid for. It is a lot of lifting and moving, but we are used to the hard work by now.
