The Goodies Cafeteria

The Goodies Cafeteria is located down in Makarpura 40002. It isn't a high-end cafe with leather chairs or soft music playing. Instead, it’s a practical place where people from around Makarpura come to sit for a bit and have a bite. We have some tables and chairs that have seen better days, but they do the job. The kitchen is right there, and you can hear the clinking of plates and the sound of the stove almost all day long. We serve a variety of things, mostly whatever we have decided to cook that morning. It’s a bit of a mixed crowd that comes through the door. Some are workers from nearby, others are just passing through the 40002 area. We don't have a big menu with pictures; we usually just tell people what we've got. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, and the ceiling fan makes a little clicking noise, but it keeps the air moving. Running The Goodies Cafeteria keeps us busy from dawn until late. We don't have a fancy mission statement or anything like that. We just want to make sure the food is hot and the tea is ready. It’s a lot of washing dishes and wiping down tables, but it’s our business and we're here every day. Makarpura is a busy part of town, and we’re just glad to have our little corner here for everyone.
