Svanna The Take Away

We are located in Alkapuri, right over on Jetalpur Road. It’s at 3 Status Avenue in Sampatrao Colony. Most people know the spot because it’s right opposite the New India Mill. We started this take-away place because we wanted to serve food to the folks working around here and the families living in the neighborhood. Since we are a take-away, we don't have a big seating area or anything like that. It's mostly people coming in, grabbing their orders, and heading back to their office or home. We stay busy during the lunch hour and then again in the evening. It gets pretty crowded in the small space we have, but we try to move as fast as we can to get everyone on their way. We do a lot of the cooking ourselves right in the back. You can hear the pans clanking and smell whatever is on the stove from the front counter. It’s not a fancy setup. We just have a small counter and a menu on the wall. Vadodara is a nice place to run a business, and being in Alkapuri means we see a lot of the same regulars every week. We know a few of them by name now. We don't do much advertising. People mostly find us by walking past or hearing about us from their coworkers. We focus on getting the food out hot and making sure the portions are decent. It’s just us doing our thing every day.
