Seermen Pan House

We’ve been here at Fatepura right across from Arihant Tower for a good while now with Seermen Pan House. It’s a busy spot and we see a lot of people passing by every day. The shop isn't anything fancy, just a small place where we keep the leaves fresh and the jars filled. My day usually starts early getting things ready before the rush begins. I spend a lot of time just cleaning the counters and making sure everything is in its right place. People stop in on their way home or after they eat at the places nearby. It’s mostly regular faces from the neighborhood. We talk about the weather or how the traffic is getting worse on this road. Sometimes the humidity makes the leaves go soft too fast so I have to be careful with the storage. It’s just how it is. You learn these small things after doing it for years. Fatepura is a loud area but you get used to the noise of the bikes and the cars. I don't really have a big story to tell about the place. It’s just a shop where we work and try to keep things moving. We stay open late because that's when most people want to stop by. My hands are usually stained from the ingredients but that’s part of the job. It’s decent work and it keeps us busy enough throughout the week. There is always something to do, like sorting through the betel nuts or wiping down the shelves.
