Purohit Caterers

Our place, Purohit Caterers, is in Karelibaug at Mahalaxmi Appartment, I/2. We are right opposite the Utkarsh Petrol Pump, which makes it easy to give directions to people who haven't visited us before. We’ve been in this spot for a while now. Usually, it’s a mix of different types of food we prepare, depending on what the customer wants for their event. It's a lot of coordination, making sure the milk arrives on time and the vegetables are fresh from the market each morning. I usually go to the market myself early to pick things out. It’s a bit of a rush sometimes, especially if the traffic in Karelibaug is bad. We aren't a corporate company with uniforms and a manual. We just know how to cook and how to set up a buffet so it looks decent. Sometimes a burner acts up or a delivery boy is late, and we have to scramble to fix it. That’s just how it is in this line of work. We’ve served plenty of families in this area over the years. Some kids whose birthday parties we catered are now grown up and asking us to do their engagement parties. It makes you feel old but it’s a nice feeling to be remembered. We don't make big promises, we just show up and do the work the best we can. It is a simple business that keeps our family going year after year.
