Payal Caterers & Faraskhana

We are based at 1St Floor, Anjali Appt, in the Makarpura Industrial area. Payal Caterers & Faraskhana is what we call ourselves. Being in an industrial zone means there are a lot of trucks and workers around all the time. It’s not the quietest spot, but it works for what we do. We are up on the first floor of Anjali Appt, so we end up carrying a lot of heavy pots and gear up and down those stairs. It’s a good workout, I guess. Makarpura is a busy part of the city, and being in the industrial section keeps us close to other businesses. The apartment building is a bit older, but it’s sturdy. We spend a lot of time in the kitchen area or organizing the faraskhana supplies. It gets pretty hot during the summer, especially with the stoves going. We don’t really have a big office staff. It’s mostly just us doing the prep work. The address at Anjali Appt is where we do all the behind-the-scenes stuff. People usually come to find us because they know we are in the Makarpura Industrial neighborhood. We don’t have any fancy decorations on the walls. It is just a practical space for cooking and storing things. We’ve been here for a while and the neighbors in the building are used to the smells of food coming from our floor. That is basically us in a nutshell, just working hard every day.
