Jayswal Punjabi Food

Jayswal Punjabi Food is located over in Manjalpur. We are very close to the Jalaram Mandir, which is how most people find us if they are not from around here. Being near the temple means we see a lot of people coming in after they finish their prayers, especially on weekends and festival days. We serve Punjabi dishes that we make in our kitchen every day. It’s not a complicated menu, just the usual things people like to eat when they want a full meal. We started this place because we wanted to have a spot in 390011 where you could get decent food without any fuss. The space is simple with tables and chairs that have seen a lot of use. We do a lot of cleaning because it gets dusty being near the road. The kitchen stays quite hot, especially in the afternoons, but that’s just part of the work. Sometimes we run out of certain items if the lunch rush is bigger than we expected, so we just tell people what’s left. It’s a family thing, so you might see different relatives helping out behind the counter or bringing plates to the tables. We don’t go for anything fancy with the decorations. It’s just about getting the food out to the people who are hungry in Manjalpur. We like being part of this neighborhood and seeing the same faces come back.
