Gavare Nasta House

You can find us at the Vuda Housing buildings, right across from the Gotri Police Chowki on Gotri Road. We started this little nasta house because we realized there weren’t many places around here to get a quick, fresh breakfast in the morning. It’s a small space, Room 42/640, so it’s mostly for people to grab something and go, though some stay and chat. We make things like poha, upma, and some local snacks that go well with tea. We start our day very early, long before the sun is up, to make sure everything is ready for the morning rush of people going to work or students heading to class. It’s just us running the place, so it feels very personal. We don’t have a big menu, just the things we know how to make well. Some days are busier than others, especially on weekends when families come by. The smell of the tempering and the fresh tea usually lets people know we’re open. We aren't trying to be a big restaurant chain or anything. We just want to serve a decent plate of food that doesn't cost too much. Living and working in the Vuda colony means we know most of our customers by name. It’s a nice way to spend the day, even if the kitchen gets a bit hot in the afternoons. We hope to keep the stove running for a long time for the neighborhood.
