St Xaviers High School

St Xaviers High School is located on Korangrapady Road in Udayavara. If you are familiar with Udupi, you know this part of town. Our address is 576101. It’s a place where we get on with the daily work of running a high school. The morning starts early here, like most places in Udupi, and the sound of students chatting fills up the halls. We aren't trying to be the most modern building on the block, but the rooms are clean and there is plenty of space for the kids to sit. Walking down Korangrapady Road, you can’t really miss us. We have been around long enough that most locals use us as a landmark. There is no complicated mission statement here. We just teach the subjects that need to be taught. Some days are busier than others, especially when exams are coming up or there’s a local event in Udayavara. The staff here is local, and many of us have lived in this area our whole lives. We see the kids grow up from year to year. It’s a steady kind of life. We don’t have a big PR department or anything like that. Just a school office where we handle the paperwork and classrooms where the teaching happens. The weather is usually warm, and the breeze from the coast sometimes reaches us. It’s just a normal school for normal families in this part of Karnataka. We keep our heads down and do the work that is needed for the community.
