Bearys Sea Side Public School

Being located right on Kodi Beach Road in Udupi means we get a lot of that salt air at Bearys Sea Side Public School. It’s a pretty distinct spot to go to work every day. You can hear the sounds from the road and occasionally the wind from the water. The school building is just a regular part of the landscape here. We don’t go in for anything too flashy. The kids come from all over this part of Udupi. Some walk, some get dropped off. Our daily routine is pretty set. We open the gates, get the classes started, and deal with whatever comes up, whether it’s a leaky tap or a missing notebook. It’s a lot of work keeping a public school running. The hallways can get noisy between periods, which is expected. We have teachers who have been here a long time and know most of the families by name. It’s a grounded kind of place. We don’t have a lot of fancy corporate talk here. We just focus on the books and making sure the students are where they need to be. The heat can be a bit much in the middle of the day, but we manage. Kodi Beach Road is a familiar path for everyone in this community. We’re just glad to be the school that’s right there when they need us.
