Jhargaonkadamguri Farmer Producer Company Limited is a group of us farmers from Uttar Barpukhuri village. We are located in the Kalaigaon area of Darrang. Our main point of contact is Ibrahim Ali. We don't have a fancy office building, just the village surroundings and our fields. Our address is Vill Uttar Barpukhuri, Kalaigaon, Darrang, 784525. We spend our days out in the sun, doing the kind of work that makes your hands rough. We aren't interested in sounding corporate or official. We are just a bunch of people who grow things for a living. Being in Darrang, we have to deal with whatever the Assam climate throws at us. Some seasons are great and others make you want to quit, but we stay together as a group. This company was formed so we could help each other instead of everyone just doing their own thing. It makes it easier to get seeds and sell what we grow. We don't have any polished speeches about our goals. We just want to make sure our families are okay and the land stays healthy. If you come to Uttar Barpukhuri, you won’t find any signs or receptionists. You just find one of us and start talking. It’s a very simple way of doing business, but it’s the only way we know. It keeps us moving forward year after year.
