Barbari Pathar Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our group is called Barbari Pathar Farmer Producer Company Limited. We are located in the Hatigarh area of Darrang district. You can find our main spot at Bharat Chandra Boro’s place in Barbari Pathar. This is a small community where most families have been farming for generations. We decided to register this company so we could work more closely together instead of everyone just doing their own thing. It’s a very grounded way of living. We don’t have a fancy website or a big marketing budget. Most of our work is done with our hands in the dirt and mud. We meet up when we can to talk about seeds, fertilizers, and how to get our produce to the bigger towns. The roads around Hatigarh can be tricky, especially when it rains a lot, but we make it work somehow. We are just a bunch of locals who know the land well. There’s a lot of talk about how things used to be and how we can make things a little easier for our own kids. It’s a lot of long hours, and sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate, but we are used to that frustration. We just take it one day at a time and try to stay honest in our dealings. It’s just a basic farmer’s group, nothing more and nothing less. We just want to get through the season without too much trouble.
