Our shop is at 1, Udaipole, just a bit past the Aravali Petrol Pump. If you know the Udaipole area, you know it’s one of the busiest spots around, with people and rickshaws going in every direction. We’ve been here at this location for a long time now. The building itself is old and has a lot of character, even if the paint is peeling a bit here and there. We spend our mornings setting things up and checking what needs to be ordered. Trading is mostly about keeping track of the market and making sure we have what people are asking for. It gets loud with all the horns honking outside, but we don't really notice it anymore. We have a small space where we sit and talk to anyone who comes in. Sometimes it's just neighbors stopping by for a chat. We don't use any complicated systems; we just keep things in our heads and in our books. The petrol pump nearby is a good landmark for people who haven't been here before. It's a small team of us, and we all do a bit of everything, from moving boxes to answering the phone. By the time evening rolls around, we’re usually ready to close up and head home. It’s a steady life and we’re quite used to the rhythm of the street. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
