Art & Craft

We are located at number 6, Gangaur Ghat, which is just a short walk from the Jagdish Temple. This area is always full of life, and our shop is right in the middle of it. We call the place Art & Craft because that is exactly what we have here. There are a lot of different things to look at, from small handmade trinkets to larger decorative pieces. We get our stock from local people who make these things in their own homes. The shop itself is an old building, so the walls are thick and it stays relatively cool even when it’s hot outside. We have a lot of items tucked away in corners, so you really have to take your time to see it all. My brother and I run the shop most days. We don't have any big goals of expanding or becoming famous; we just like having a steady business in a place we know well. The street noise is part of the experience here. You can hear the temple bells and the people talking outside all day long. We try to keep the shop honest and simple. If something has a small flaw, we tell people. That’s just how we do things. We’ve been here long enough that most of the other shopkeepers are our friends. It’s a good community to be a part of, and we plan to stay here for a long time doing what we do.
