Venkateshwara Stones

It’s been a good number of years since we set up here at 25/183, Pete Beedi. Kyathasandra is a busy enough place and we just try to keep up with what needs doing every day. People around here know the building, it isn’t anything fancy to look at but it gets the job done for us. We spend most of the morning moving things around and making sure the stone is where it’s supposed to be. Sometimes the dust gets a bit much, especially when the wind picks up on Pete Beedi, but that’s just how it goes with this kind of work. We aren't trying to be the biggest outfit around, just a local spot where people can find us at the same address they've always known. My brother usually handles the loading while I stay in the back sorting out the piles. It’s hard work on the back, honestly. We have a couple of guys who help out when the bigger trucks show up from the quarries. You see a lot of people passing through this part of Kyathasandra, and some stop in just to see what we have sitting in the yard. We don't have a big front office or anything like that. Usually, you’ll just find one of us sitting on a stool near the entrance. We try to keep things simple and not overcomplicate what we are doing here. It's just us and the stones.
