S R S Granite

Our shop, S R S Granite, is tucked away in the Hirehalli Industrial Area. It’s a bit of a maze back here in Chikkahalli if you aren’t used to the layout. We’re at number 24/136, surrounded by other factories and workshops. It’s a noisy part of town, but that’s the way industrial zones are. You can hear the hum of machines all day long. We deal with various types of stone blocks and slabs. Most of our day is spent unloading heavy stock or helping a customer pick something out for their house. It’s hard work, and your hands get rough quickly from handling the stone. We don't have a big fancy showroom with air conditioning; it’s mostly just the warehouse and the yard where the inventory sits. It can get pretty hot during the summer months when the sun beats down on the corrugated roof. We’ve been in this spot for a bit now, and we know most of the other business owners nearby. Sometimes we grab tea together when things are slow. It’s a simple operation, really. We just focus on getting the stone ready and making sure the measurements are right. People usually find us through word of mouth or because they’re already in the area for other supplies. We don't do much besides keep the yard organized and wait for the next delivery truck to pull in. It keeps us going every day.
