Sri Sai Baba Granite

Our place, Sri Sai Baba Granite, is located down on Dyagerahalli Road in Hunasehalli. It’s a bit quieter out this way compared to the main city areas, which is nice in some ways but the roads can be a bit rough for the heavy trucks. We’ve got our yard at number 21, and it’s filled with stacks of granite that we’ve collected over the months. Every morning we open up and check what needs to be moved or sent out. It’s mostly just us handling the daily tasks, making sure the stone is handled right so it doesn't crack. Granite is tough, but if you drop it wrong, that's it. We see a lot of local folks who are just looking to finish a small project or maybe a whole house. We don't really do much talking, we just show what’s available in the stacks. Sometimes the rain makes the yard a bit of a mess, but that’s just how it goes when you’re working outdoors with stone. The patterns in the granite are always different, which is interesting to see when we get new loads in. We don't have a polished sales pitch or anything like that. We just stand by the gate or in the small office and wait for whoever comes by. It’s a simple life here in Hunasehalli, just keeping the business moving and the stone stacked. We usually stay until the sun goes down to finish the work.
