Sri Rahavendra Metriculation School

Sri Rahavendra Metriculation School is right here in Kaschtampadi, Polur. We’ve been around in the Tiruvannamalai area for quite a while now. Most days it’s pretty busy with children running around the halls and the sound of voices coming from the classrooms. It isn't a massive place, but we have enough rooms for the different classes and a bit of space outside for the students to assemble in the mornings. The teachers mostly live nearby in the village, so everyone knows everyone else. We start early in the morning before it gets too hot in this part of Tamil Nadu. Our address is right in the village area, so parents just drop their kids off on their way to work or the local market. It’s a very simple setup. We have the usual desks, blackboards, and books, and we just try to get through the lessons every single day. Sometimes the power goes out, or it gets a bit dusty when the wind picks up from the fields, but that is just how things are here. We don't have fancy gyms or anything like that, just the basic classrooms and the small playground area. Most of the families around here are farmers or work in the small shops. It feels like a small community where we all look out for each other. We focus on the basics, making sure the kids learn their subjects and behave themselves while they are here. It’s just a regular school doing its part in Polur.
