Pinkz Public School

Pinkz Public School is located over at No S F 621 on the Arni Polur Main Road in Polur. It’s a busy spot in Tiruvannamalai and we’ve been here for a while now. The school building isn't anything too fancy but it has enough room for all the kids who come from the nearby villages. We have a front gate that stays closed most of the day for safety because of all the traffic on the main road. The playground is just a patch of ground in the back where the students run around during their breaks. It gets quite dusty when it hasn't rained in a few weeks. Our staff is mostly made up of people who live right here in Polur, so we know most of the families by their first names. We start our day pretty early when the yellow buses pull up and the kids start piling out. Inside, the classrooms have simple wooden desks and fans that work hard to keep us cool in the summer heat. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. It's just a few of us in a small room with some filing cabinets and a desk. We spend a lot of time grading papers and talking to parents who stop by on their motorbikes. Sometimes the power goes out and we just open the windows to let the breeze in. It's a very normal, local place to work. We just do our daily jobs and head home when the final bell rings.
