Nadupattu School

Out here in Nadupattu, things move a bit slower than in the big cities. Nadupattu School is located right along SH 4, so it’s easy for everyone to find us. It’s a quiet spot in Tiruvannamalai, mostly surrounded by greenery and local houses. We spend most of our days making sure the kids show up on time and stay focused on their work. The school building has been standing for quite some time, and it shows a little wear and tear, but we keep it clean. Our teachers live nearby, so they often walk or take a short bike ride to get here. We have some basic desks, blackboards, and a small area where the kids eat their lunch together. It’s not a complicated operation. We just follow the schedule and try to help the students understand their lessons. Sometimes it gets a bit loud when the primary classes are out, but that’s just how it is with children. In the evenings, once the bells ring, the place clears out fast. We spend a lot of time talking to parents about how their kids are doing, usually just quick chats at the gate. It’s a practical place, focused on the basics. We don't have many bells and whistles, just the classrooms and the people who show up every day to keep the place running for the community. Most of our satisfaction comes from seeing a quiet classroom during a difficult lesson.
