Nakul Textile Mill is found on Poochakadu III Street, which is just off the main Mangalam Road in Tirupur. The building number is 46/39, and it’s a place that stays busy from Monday through Saturday. Like many mills in this part of Coimbatore, we focus on the basics of textile production. There are always rolls of knit fabric stacked up near the entrance, waiting for the next stage of processing. The street itself is narrow, so getting the delivery trucks in and out can be a bit of a challenge sometimes. Inside, the sound of the machines is constant, creating a hum that you can feel in the floor. Our workers are skilled at spotting flaws in the fabric, which is important when you're producing thousands of meters a week. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or expensive furniture for the front office. Instead, we put our effort into making sure the looms and knitting machines are well-maintained. The heat in Tirupur can be tough, especially in the middle of the day, so we have plenty of fans going to keep everyone moving.
