Akr Textile

Akr Textile is situated at S. F. No. 298 in the Nehru Nagar Extension, right off the Ring Road in 15 Velampalayam. It’s a bit of a trek to get here if you're coming from the center of town, but it’s a good spot for a textile business. We have a fair amount of space here, which is lucky because we always seem to have more fabric than we know what to do with. The building is a simple structure with a high roof to keep it a bit cooler during the afternoon heat. We spend our days mostly sorting through orders and making sure the packing is done right before the trucks arrive. It’s a lot of physical work, and we all pitch in regardless of what our title is supposed to be. The neighborhood is mostly other small industries and warehouses, so there’s always a lot of activity on the Ring Road. We don't have a polished front office or any marketing people. It’s just us, some tables, and a lot of textile rolls. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that's just life here. We’ve been in Velampalayam for a while and we know the locals well. It’s a practical setup for a practical business. We just get the work done and prepare for the next day's tasks without making a big deal out of it.
