Mayuraa Rotary Printing is based at 275/2 in Kuppandampalayam, near the Veerapandi Post in the Tirupur and Coimbatore area. We specialize in rotary printing, which is basically just a way to get patterns onto long stretches of fabric using big cylindrical screens. It’s a messy job, to be honest. There is always ink somewhere, usually on our hands or our clothes, no matter how careful we try to be. The heat from the drying machines makes the unit very warm, so we have a lot of fans running all the time. We don't have a big corporate mission or anything like that. We just take the plain cloth that people bring us and put the designs on it. Sometimes the ink doesn't mix perfectly the first time, so we have to try again until the color looks right. We’ve been at this location for a good while now. Most of the people working here live nearby and walk to work. We don't spend any time on fancy advertising. Most of our customers are other local businesses who need their fabric printed for shirts or dresses. It’s a lot of standing around and watching the rollers turn to make sure nothing gets stuck or smudged. When the day is over, we spend a good amount of time cleaning the screens for the next morning. It’s just how the business goes. We keep things simple and try to stay busy every week.
