You can find us at No 103/G/2 on the Bypass Road in Tirunelveli. We’re right there in the Vannarpettai Bazaar area. If you’ve ever been through the bazaar, you know it’s a whirlwind of activity. There are shops everywhere, people selling all sorts of things, and the noise of the traffic on the bypass is constant. The college building is a big, grey structure that stands out against the low-lying shops nearby. It’s an engineering college, so there are always sounds coming from the labs—machines humming or students working on some project. We’ve got a lot of concrete and a lot of stairs. It’s a functional place, built for work rather than looking pretty. The classrooms are filled with those heavy wooden benches, and the walls are covered with notices and schedules. Our staff keeps the place running, though it’s a big job with so many students coming and going. The heat in Tirunelveli is no joke, so the hallways are usually the coolest place to be during the middle of the day. We don’t have much in the way of luxury. It’s about getting into the labs, doing the calculations, and passing the exams. We’ve been a part of the Vannarpettai landscape for quite a while now, and most of the people around here know us as that big place by the bypass. It’s just a normal, busy part of our local community where we work hard.
