If you're in Kallidaikurichi, you can find us on the first floor of Baskar Tower Lodge. It’s right on the Main Road, so it's hard to miss. We’ve been running this restaurant for several years now. It’s not a fancy place with waiters in suits. Most of the guys working here are from the village. We cook the kind of food we eat at home. It’s simple and filling. The kitchen gets quite hot during the lunch rush, and you can hear the sounds of the Main Road through the open windows. We don't have an air conditioner or plush carpets. It’s just wooden tables and chairs. People staying at the lodge often come up for their meals. We also get a lot of locals who just want a quick tiffin or a full meal. We buy our supplies from the market every morning. If the fish isn't fresh, we don't buy it that day. That's just how we do things. We don't have a big menu with a hundred items. We stick to what we know. Sometimes the service is a bit slow because we make things as they are ordered. We aren't a chain and we don't have any other branches. It’s just Sabin Restaurant here in Tirunelveli. We try to keep the place clean and the food hot. It’s a humble spot for a decent meal. Come up the stairs and have a seat. We usually have something ready for you throughout the day.
