Esakki Restaurant

Esakki Restaurant is found on Five Falls Road in Tenkasi Taluk, specifically inside the Esakki High View Resorts in Courtallam. Being located in a place like 627802 means we see a lot of people who are visiting the area for the waterfalls. We are part of the resort property, but the restaurant has its own life. The air around here feels different because of all the trees and the proximity to the falls, which is nice when the kitchen gets too hot. We don't try to be a fancy resort dining room with over-the-top service. Instead, we keep things pretty grounded and simple for the families and travelers who stop by. The staff mostly comes from the nearby villages in Tenkasi, so we have a very local way of doing things. Sometimes when the monsoon is heavy, the sound of the rain on the roof is louder than the people talking inside. We spend our mornings getting the dining area ready and making sure the supplies have arrived from the local markets. It’s a lot of work to keep a restaurant running inside a resort, but we’ve found a rhythm that works for us. We aren't worried about being the most modern place around; we just want to provide a decent spot to sit down after a long day of sightseeing. It’s a quiet life most of the time, except for the peak tourist seasons.
