We are based in Kumbakonam, Thanjavur, at 79 John Selvaraj Nagar. The name is a bit of a mouthful—Thiruvidaimaruthur Kalanjia Jeevidam 10K Farmers Producer Company Limited—but it basically means we represent a lot of farmers from this region. This part of Thanjavur is the heart of the delta, so agriculture is everything here. Our office is a busy spot where people are always dropping by to talk about crops or prices. We don't have any fancy decorations or expensive furniture. It’s a place for work. We manage the collective output of many small farms, which takes a lot of coordination and patience. There are days when the phone doesn't stop ringing and days when everyone is out in the fields. We handle things like seeds, fertilizers, and getting the rice or other crops to the right places. We aren't using any corporate jargon here. We just talk like the neighbors we are. Being in John Selvaraj Nagar, we are easy to find for anyone in the town.
