Our place is located at 946 A Pookkollai in the Peravurani area of Tanjore District. It is a quiet spot, away from the bigger cities, which suits us just fine for what we do at Agni Agro Exports Manufactures & Trading Company. We spend most of our time dealing with the local produce and making sure everything is packed right for whoever needs it. Tanjore is known for its farming, so being here makes sense. The office isn't much to look at, just a sturdy building where we keep our records and manage the trading side of things. It gets really dusty when the trucks come through the yard, especially in the dry season. We have a few people from the village helping out with the manufacturing part, and we all just kind of know what needs to be done without making a big fuss about it. Sometimes the power goes out, which slows us down, but that is just part of living in this part of the country. We deal with a lot of different agricultural goods, depending on the season and what the farmers nearby are harvesting. It’s practical work. We don't have a marketing team or anyone like that; we just answer the phone and talk to people directly. Most days are long, but there is a certain rhythm to the trading and moving of goods that we've grown to appreciate over the years here at our Tanjore base.
