Karungalakudi Kalasam Farmers Producercompany Limited

We are located at 6/14, West Street in a village called Sekkipatti. It’s near Melur in the Madurai district. Our company is run by farmers from the Karungalakudi area. We have been tilling these lands for a very long time. The office is a modest building on West Street where we keep our files and meet up after the day's work. Madurai is known for being very hot, and it’s no different here. We spend most of our hours outdoors and only use the office for the necessary paperwork. We aren't business experts with degrees. We are just people who know how to grow crops and want to get a fair price for them. Joining together as a producer company was a practical choice for us. It helps us deal with the big buyers and get better prices for seeds. The street where we are based is full of life, with kids playing and neighbors talking. We often have our meetings sitting on the porch. We don't have a big budget for advertising or anything like that. Word of mouth is how most people find out about us. We face the same problems as every other farmer, like water shortages and rising costs. We just try to support each other through the company. It’s an honest, local business for the people of Sekkipatti.
